We have a Junior Program at Strike City Lanes where juniors can come to learn how to bowl correctly in a league environment, while having a good time.
We have a Pee Wee Program for the little ones. This is generally from age 2 – 6. Pee Wee bowlers use bumpers and bowl only two games. It is a good idea for them to get off the bumpers as soon as possible. Not only is it important to learn to bowl without bumpers, they do not qualify for any USBC awards while using bumpers.
All other Junior bowlers bowl together. While we have age divisions as a guideline, their awards are earned by the average they achieve. There are many awards they can earn determined by their bowling average. We hope from the very beginning to mold great bowlers.
They will learn etiquette and basic league format, along with good bowling skills. As they improve, they will learn more advanced techniques to adjust for spares or condition.
Bowling is a lifelong, versatile sport. It can be very competitive or quite social. You can bowl as an individual or as a team. No matter what your skill level, you can always enjoy the sport.
We also have an Adult/Junior league on Wednesday nights in the summer season. In this league, families can enjoy bowling together.
Want to be involved? Coaches needed.
With our growing program comes the need for more coaches. Our coaches are certified through USBC coaching clinics. There are periodic clinics available to teach adults how to teach others to bowl. If you happen to be a bowler yourself, this is a terrific insight into your Own game.Call today and check out your options: 688-8900
